Joshua 1:9

Be Strong And Of Good Courage; Be Not Afraid; Neither Be Thou Dismayed: For The Lord Thy God Is With Thee Whithersoever Thou Goest

I have to say that this is now one of my all time favorite scriptures is Joshua 1:9! Whenever I'm feeling down and sad I think of this scripture and I can get through my day! We just had a lesson on this scripture in YW's like 2 Sundays ago! Let me break this down! First I want to explain what is going on in this part of the scriptures. So Moses died, and you all know who Moses was, That dude who parted the red sea, and did all of that truly AMAZING stuff! Well poor Joshua came after him. and Joshua was praying to God and telling him that he couldn't do this, he couldn't be the next prophet following Moses, and the lord told him "Have not I command thee? Be strong and f good courage; Be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed; For the lord thy god is with the withersoever thou goest." And I truly think that when he said that yes, he was talking to Joshua, but at the same time he also had us in mind! In this generation their are many temptations that are trying to get our attention, so that we will go off the path, but We are trying to stand strong, and have great courage! Imagine if everyone would tell someone to shut up when someone swears, I think you wouldn't stop hearing the 2 words, shut up! Imagine what would happen if we would walk away from the bad things you hear, and see in your schools, and neighborhoods! Imagine if we all would stand up for our beliefs, and didn't care what other people in this world thought of us, you just cared what Jesus and God thought! WOW! That would be crazy!

Imagine if You converted, like only one person to the gospel a year, or even one every 2 years! That would still be progress! I know it is hard to stand up to your friends, and tell them that you know what they are doing/ saying are wrong! I believe that a surprise might come to you, you might be respected even more! And maybe you did get punched in the face or the stomach! Well at least you stood up for what you believe in, and you will get great blessings in heaven! And if you end up sitting alone, you aren't really alone, because God is with you, and He loves you!

You need to be brave, stand up for what you believe in, You are never alone! God will always love you! And I am always their for any of you!
